Frequently Asked Questions

  • Sunday Worship begins at 10:00 am in our Sanctuary. Our worship services are available virtually through our livestream, and previous services can be viewed on our YouTube page.

  • Come worship however you feel comfortable, but perhaps not like Adam and Eve.

Some people come in very casual attire, others in more formal dress, and we all worship together.

  • We all have questions, doubts, and fears. It’s part of being human. In our denomination, we welcome these questions, doubts and fears as part of growing our faith. You can talk confidentially, one-on-one with Rev. Diann, or contact our church office through email or phone 860-668-7223.

  • First Church is fully accessible for the Sanctuary, Chapel, Preschool, Conference Rooms, Fellowship Hall, and Offices. There is a ramp at our main entrance. An elevator stops at the lower Fellowship Hall, ground-floor lobby, Preschool/Chapel, and Office/Conference Room floors. Accessible bathrooms are available in Fellowship Hall and the Sanctuary.

  • Email our church office or phone 860-668-7223.

  • After worship, we gather in the Ebenezer Gay Room for coffee, tea and light refreshments. It’s a time to chat with others and learn more about the church and our community. We hope you will join us.

  • Relax! God put the wiggle in children, so don’t feel as if you have to suppress it in God’s house. By exposing children to quiet prayer and joyful music, we show them the ways we worship together.

We have a Pray Ground in the back of the sanctuary if children need to move around more, and we have a Cozy Corner in the Ebenezer Gay Room if children need a quieter space.

  • Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.” The Communion table is not our table, but Jesus’ table. It is our hope that all who seek him will meet him here. We believe that Jesus is overjoyed when children gather with us at the table.

  • Sign up for the church newsletter. Attend Fellowship Time or email Rev. Diann to talk.
